Anthony Browne BSC

Assistant Designer

Although a relative newcomer to the Timber Frame Industry having only joined MTS as a Designer/Estimator in December 2017 Anthony has over thirty years experience in the construction industry.  His career began at Morris Builders Providers in September 1983 rising to the position of Retail Manager before moving to Heiton Buckley as Shop Manager in March 2000. A victim of the construction industry downturn in 2009, he turned to education to upskill and develop his talents. He participated in several courses most notably the Viking Longboat Project where he showed great enthusiasm and passion for carpentry and boat building techniques. The result of which is the replica Viking Longboat that is on permanent display outside Reginald’s Tower in Waterford City.

In 2013 whilst working for Waterford City Council Anthony accepted the opportunity to further his education by participating in a one year Level 7 Applied Conservation Skills Course at Waterford Institute of Technology. He graduated with a distinction in June 2014. Realising the benefits of 3rd level education he decided to continue his college studies at WIT for another three years by enrolling in the Construction Management & Engineering Course. It turned out to be a wise decision as he graduated in June 2017 with 1st Class Honours.
